B-Mitzvah

Dear B-Mitzvah Families:

Mazel Tov on your upcoming celebration! Becoming a B-Mitzvah is one of the greatest events in the life cycle of a Jewish family, and we are honored to share this special milestone with you. We are available to be of help in any way we can and look forward to working with you and your child(ren) over the coming months or years. Please view our BHBE B-Mitzvah Handbook for detailed information.

Please note – during this time of transition at BHBE, although we do not have an exact move date or new location for our synagogue, we will work with everyone to ensure an appropriate, meaningful space for your special day.

Estimated Costs Associated with the B-Mitzvah

While we cannot guarantee pricing for everything associated with your event, we will try to summarize key items here. Choosing to hold a B-Mitzvah on a secular holiday will require BHBE to pay higher rates for our administrative and custodial teams. We ask that you try to avoid these days. If you request a date that requires overtime, we will need to pass the cost along to you. Any vendors you hire must be paid by you to the vendor. BHBE will not pay a vendor and invoice you for the charges.

All money due BHBE must be paid in full by the date of the event. We require a deposit of $500-$1000 a month prior to the event (price is determined by total cost of the kiddush). Final payment is due the week of the B-Mitzvah or when all billing has been processed.

If you have questions related to these fees, please contact our Executive Director, Michael Kahn at michael.kahn@bhbe.org or 847-256-6494. Thank you!
